How do I know if the membership is the right fit?

What class styles are offered?

All Move To Feel classes are dance inspired and fuelled by music. They will all have a barre flare. Some classes will be classic barre and others will focus more on strength, cardio, or mobility and flexibility. See all class descriptions listed HERE.

What Is barre fitness?

You may often hear Barre referred to as Ballet Barre, and that is because this class style gets its roots from ballet. Barre fitness is a workout class that combines ballet-inspired moves with elements of pilates, dance, yoga and strength training.

Barre is a high intensity, but low impact workout. With a focus on high reps and small range movements you’ll experience the classic “barre burn” that everyone is always talking about! This approach is designed to strengthen your body in ways that few other workouts can, and increase muscular endurance.

Do you wear shoes for barre class?

Barre classes can either be done with bare feet or with grip/toe socks. Some studios require socks, but from home the choice is yours!

What equipment is required for class?

Barre classes typically use equipment such as 1-3 lb weights, resistance bands and sliders. You may also need a chair or something to use as a barre from home. Strength based classes will involve weights 5lbs or higher.

I will always post or email the details regarding equipment before each class.

What if I am new to fitness or barre?

Not to worry, each class is designed with every level in mind! I will provide options and modifications in each class to make them accessible to all levels.
